As a company tasked with finding viable candidates for corporate leadership positions, MSC wanted to refresh their brand and website to read as a more relatable and human-centric company to it’s clientele. I designed brand guidelines, a new logo and a website that highlighted not only their track record in successful leadership-role fulfillments, but that MSC is a diverse team of individuals that work to make each fulfillment a success for the client company and applicant.
Tasks
My focus points for this project were:
A) Updates to the Morgan Samuels Company logo B) A website refresh
C) Custom slides for presentations
Logo
From tall slim lettering with soft curves and paired with a gradiented icon, the Morgan Samuels Company wanted to move forward in a new direction away from their traditional style. In the latest rendition of the logo, a much more bold monochrome Europa font takes it's place. Clean lines, sharp corners and high legibility go to the forefront as key aspects of this business formal design. A simple color scheme in general, allows for greater creativity due to less restrictions on palette and negative spacing. In a small twist brought in from the head of the studio, the C is reflected back as to represent MSC's ability to think differently when finding the right talent for a position.
Original MSC Website
Updated MSC Website
Website
The website originally only covered certain aspects of the MSC experience, covering basic practices of the company and the wide range of fields they provide expertise in. The updated website provides a more in-depth review of the services MSC provides along with articles covering successful hires, as well as showcasing their team that makes it all happen.
The color scheme was changed to a simple use of black and charcoal shades for text while backgrounds varied from pure white and light grey. The removal of color backgrounds and text was largely because of the introduction of more colorful imagery, which has a stronger presence in a more minimalistic layout.
Presentation Slides
A branding refresh is not complete unless the design is implemented throughout the company. One of the last tasks I was assigned to work on was presentation templates for the MSC team. These designs would be used for presentations, case studies, and candidate profiles. The slides could be easily updated with imagery and text, and came in 30 different styles with the option of altering backgrounds, image placements and text formats.
